The Chico News and Review has a profile on Uptime, a new coworking space in Chico.

Uptime (no link because there’s no web site to be found) is temporarily located in the Golden Capital Network office while they complete construction on a 1200 sq foot office at the same location.

From the News and Review article:

Josh Morgan runs a public-relations agency out of an office in El Dorado Hills, a two-hour drive from Chico. He has family and clients in Chico, but he’s not here quite enough to make getting an actual office make sense.

So, he uses the Uptime Coworking Studio for his work space. “This way, we have a space, we have an address we can use, a place we can meet with people,” Morgan explained.

Essential Job Functions:

Experienced Programming Skill in: ColdFusion, PHP, ASP, Java, JavaScript, or .NET
SQL and practical relational database performance tuning and design
Aware of security protocols (XSS, SQL Injection, etc.)
Rapid production of functional mock ups and templates from verbal specs or PSDs
Ability to write clean and modular code
Maintaining detail-conscious quality assurance
Documenting and troubleshooting system replication issues
Comfort with juggling multiple large and complex projects under deadline

Recommended Skills:

Practical Knowledge of Flash ActionScript, Aaso, Microsoft SQL Server, MYSQL 5.0
Experience with XML or equivalent EDI Integration
Template engine(s), AJAX familiarity
