Why advertise your job with SacStarts?
If you’re looking to fill a technical position in the Sacramento area, you can’t afford NOT to advertise with us. What you get with Monster, Career Builder, and Craigslist is exposure to just about everybody looking for a job, all over the country and beyond, and in every field of expertise. That is just not efficient. We help ensure quality and relevancy by limiting job postings to technical fields and geographic area.

We do things better for Sacramento-area employers looking for technical expertise, and for job-seekers looking locally for technical positions with quality employers.

This is better for employers looking for local and technical people because:

  • Job candidates are local and technical, and those that aren’t local are qualified because they’re looking for jobs specifically in the Sacramento region.
  • Your job post gets instant exposure to thousands of local candidates, much more closely aligned with your needs than the typical Internet job-seeker. Talented job-seekers don’t have to sift through thousands of ads before finding anything worthwhile, and your job post isn’t competing with a barrage of temp-agency postings which only help to widen the gap between you and quality technical employees.

This is better for job candidates because:

  • Jobs are geographically desirable and in technical fields
  • There is no ambiguity because the company name and position are required in the ad
  • Employers are serious about finding good candidates because they’re digging beyond the noise of other job sites to find talented technical people

I’m a recruiter, can I place job postings?
Absolutely, but to ensure quality for the local community, the name of the company with the available position must be very clear in your ad. If looking for talented and local technical candidates, this is probably the best place for you to advertise. If you need to fill 100 data-entry jobs you’ll probably have more luck with Craigslist.

Can I post jobs outside of the Sacramento area if they’re telecommuting jobs?
We've chosen to keep the quality of jobs higher for local candidates by restricting job ads to the Sacramento region.

Why is the company name and the job title required in the post?
This is a service to the local technical job seekers. They're a smarter-than-average bunch and would likely be turned off by ambiguous postings. If you're a recruiter then you obviously have it in your best interests to have the candidate go through you. We have no problem with you only including contact info for yourself and not the company, but make sure to include the company name and job title.

Okay I'm ready to post an open-position, what do I do now?
To submit a new job ad you need to fill out the Job Form. Once the post is approved we'll send you an email to finish the posting process. We can accept payment via Paypal or you can send a check in the mail.
