California grape production expected to increase 3 percent

California’s grape crop is expected be slightly larger than last year, despite a spring frost that damaged crops and delayed maturity. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s crop forecast, California is expected to produce 6.4 million tons of grapes in 2008-09, up 3 percent from last year. Read full story
