Legal tips for startups

GigaOM guest author Gene Landy has some great legal tips for those starting a company.

Among Landry’s suggestions are to careful lock down your IP — code you or your employees wrote is not necessarily property of the company by default. He also recommends against allowing a right of first refusal into any contract and suggests you file trademarks internationally.
